Overview
A two-day seminar with one of the world's leading strength and conditioning coaches and former USA Olympic lifting coach Harvey Newton. This golf-specific course will cover all aspects of strength training, power development, the role of the Olympic lifts in golf, plyometric and golf-specific training and periodisation.
Each participant will learn the importance of correct strength training for golf. This hands-on practical seminar will involve several sessions in the weight room, where Harvey Newton will assess each participants as they complete the various lifts.
A must for any fitness professional involved in golf.

About Harvey Newton
Harvey Newton is owner and director of Newton Sports, a sports performance consulting company based in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He was Executive Director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) from 1995 to 1999, having previously been Director of Program Development (1994-6) and Editor-in-Chief of the NSCA's Strength & Conditioning Journal (1993-1998). Harvey was Executive Director of USA Weightlifting from 1982 to 1988 and was the 1984 USA Olympic Team coach for weightlifting. With an MA degree in sociology with coaches' education emphasis, he was an instructor in the Center for the Study of Sport and Leisure at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs from 1989 to 1987, teaching mainly on the American Sport Education Program.
The author of Explosive Lifting for Sports (2002), Harvey is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Sports Science and Coaching and author of the acclaimed piece Strength Training for Golf in the 2008 Annual Review of Golf Coaching.
